Liquor Scam: SC Agrees to Hear Petition of Arrested Dy CM Manish Sisodia Today Afternoon

Arrested Dy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia challenges his arrest and method of investigation in Supreme Court and Supreme Court has allowed his petition. Supreme Court will hear his petition after afternoon today at 3:30 PM.

Previously, During the hearing of the case yesterday in Rouse Avenue the CBI told the court that Manish Sisodia is accused number one in the FIR of the liquor policy scam case. The CBI also told the court that the arrested Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi claimed that he had no role in the excise policy matter, but the investigation revealed that he personally
Manish Sisodia’s lawyer said that there was a discussion with the Lieutenant Governor regarding the excise policy. The suggestions given by the Lieutenant Governor were also included in the policy. When the discussion took place, where did the conspiracy come from? It was a transferred subject. Nevertheless, we sent it for the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.

Manish Sisodia’s counsel also said that the CBI gave notice to join the investigation, that too when preparations were being made to present the budget in Delhi.

He sought time from the CBI and went for questioning yesterday. Manish was arrested on Sunday in the alleged excise scam case. The CBI has alleged that Manish Sisodia hatched a criminal conspiracy in the liquor scam and also tried to destroy evidence.
He was arrested and kept in the CBI Headquarters. It was here that the CBI called a team of doctors and got their medical checkup done.
