Bombay HC: Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Children Will Return To UAE To Finish Their Education

After the thorough intervention by the Bombay High Court judges, it was decided recently that Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s children will now return to their education in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which they had abandoned due to the family feud.

On Monday, Nawazuddin, his mother, and his children were present in court, as was his ex-wife Zainab Siddiqui alias Aaliya alias Aanjana Pandey, and her lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee.

The actor’s lawyer, Adnan Shaikh, apologised for his absence, saying he was delayed due to issues with his international trip.

However, the bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Sharmila Deshmukh decided to accommodate Nawazuddin Siddiqui and met with him online to discuss the matter. The judges first heard each of the parties separately, then all of them together.

As an interim measure, it was decided that the children would return to their school and complete their academic term in the UAE. Other interim measures were also discussed between the parties, however, the legal intervention will continue, and both sides will be heard again in June by the court.

The bench was hearing the actor’s habeas corpus petition, in which he requests that his children be brought before the court.

According to Nawazuddin’s petition, his children’s school in the UAE has told him that they are not attending school, and he has no idea where they are. The actor’s ex-wife had landed up at his home with the children to discuss some problems which had cropped up.

Zainab Siddiqui, according to the actor, is a permanent resident of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the pair has two children from their 2010 marriage. In 2011, the couple had a khulanama (divorce).

Their two children are also UAE citizens who live there, and the actor claims that he transfers Rs 10 lakh every month for their welfare.
