Defamation Complaint against Sirsa, Court Issues Summons

Manjit Singh Sirsa

A Delhi court has issued summons to Manjit Singh Sirsa, former chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, on a criminal complaint of alleged defamation. The defamation case has been filed by Manjeet Singh GK.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harjit Singh Jaspal directed Sirsa and other accused, Harmeet Singh Kalka and Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, to appear before the court on July 17.

“The three accused Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Harmeet Singh Kalka and Jagdeep Singh Kahlon are ordered to be summoned,” the judge said.

Advocate Naginder Benipal, representing Manjit Singh GK, said, all three are former office bearers of DSGMC.

It is alleged that the accused persons are spreading defamatory, false and frivolous information against the complainant through social media, print media and electronic media, by falsely claiming that Manjeet Singh GK, while acting as the President of DSGMC, has organized the Guru Harkrishna Public handed over to the school.
