BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has expressed appreciation for the summons issued by a Delhi court to Congress leader Jagdish Tytler in connection with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The court took cognizance of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) chargesheet against Tytler and directed him to appear on August 5.
Sirsa accused the Congress party of shielding Jagdish Tytler for the past four decades, emphasizing that he had evaded justice during the Congress government’s tenure. Referring to the involvement of Tytler and Sajjan Kumar in the riots, he asserted that the court’s acceptance of the CBI chargesheet indicates the existence of strong evidence against Tytler.
The BJP leader called for accountability, demanding action against the Gandhi family, alleging that they too are guilty for protecting individuals like Tytler. He criticized the Congress for granting ministerial posts, parliamentary seats, and security to those involved in the riots, stating that such actions are a mockery of the victims of the 1984 genocide.
With the court’s summons to Tytler, there is hope for justice after 39 years, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa expressed confidence that Tytler, who was allegedly shielded by the Gandhi family since 1984, will finally face the consequences for his actions.
