Tis Hazari court in Delhi granted the Delhi Police Crime Branch a three-day custody remand for Deepak Pahal, also known as Boxer, in connection with an extortion case.

The case originated from an FIR filed at Wazirabad Police Station earlier this year.

According to the allegations, Deepak Boxer is accused of demanding Rs. 50 lakh from an individual after two minors fired shots at his house.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sumeet Anand ordered a three-day police custody for Deepak Boxer.

The court instructed the Investigating Officer to present the accused before the court on December 24, and to conduct a medical examination after 24 hours.

The Delhi Police sought a three-day custody to unravel the conspiracy and apprehend other co-accused.

Advocates Virender Mual and Ankit Tyagi represented Deepak Boxer in court.

The FIR was initiated based on a written complaint by Gaurav Tyagi, a building material supplier.

Gaurav Tyagi claimed that on November 30, two individuals on a motorcycle, with their faces concealed by helmets and cloth, fired two shots at his house.

The incident was recorded by the CCTV camera installed at his residence.

Even after the FIR was registered, Gaurav Tyagi allegedly received two life threats when the demanded amount was not fulfilled.

Deepak Boxer, who faces multiple cases in Delhi, including charges under MCOCA, was deported from Mexico in April 2023.
