Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal. Actually, ED has issued 8 summons to Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in the excise scam scam but Arvind Kejriwal did not appear before the ED. On this, ED had registered a case against him in Rouse Avenue Court. Rouse court issued summons to him to appear but he did not appear despite repeated requests of the court. In fact, on Friday he challenged the summons of ACMM before the sessions court. The Sessions Court had rejected the application of Arvind Kejriwal and ordered him to appear in the ACMM court.
Arvind Kejriwal appeared in the ACMM court on Saturday morning and got bail within a few minutes. Rouse Avenue Court had issued summons on two ED complaints against Kejriwal. The court has granted bail in both the cases on a personal bond of Rs 15,000 each and a surety of Rs 1 lakh each. Arvind Kejriwal’s application will also be heard on April 1, in which he has demanded to supply documents related to the case. The date of next hearing has been fixed for April 1.
