Delhi Court to Decide on Cognizance of ED’s Charge Sheet Against Arvind Kejriwal in July

Arvind Kejriwal

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court is expected to passed its order on July 9 regarding whether to take cognizance of a supplementary charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy-linked money laundering case.
Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, who was originally set to deliver the order on Tuesday, deferred it to July 9, citing the voluminous nature of the documents and the need for adequate time to deliberate.
The court reserved the order subsequent to hearing arguments, including those presented by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), asserting that they possess ample evidence to prosecute the accused. Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate has implicated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as an accused in the charge sheet.
Meanwhile, the court is expected to announce its decision on Kejriwal’s plea for bail on medical grounds today.
