6 Dogs Found Tied & Stuffed

Police have filed a case against two men for allegedly tying and stuffing 6 dogs into sacks with the intent of dumping them into a river in Satna district, Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of Satna city on Thursday and was reported after 2 passersby saw the dogs being transported in an e-rickshaw.

Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Gupta noted that a social media video showed a person filming the dogs being tied and placed in sacks, with plans to throw them into the Satna river. After reviewing the video, Gupta instructed officials to take action.

Kotwali police station in-charge Shankhdhar Dwivedi explained that 2 individuals on a motorcycle became suspicious upon hearing the dogs’ cries from inside the sacks. They stopped the e-rickshaw and discovered the 6 dogs inside.

The suspects, Nandu Banshkar and Pradeep Banshkar, were planning to dispose of the dogs in the river. A case has been filed against them under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, and further action is underway.
