A Mysuru court has issued a non-bailable warrant against social activist Snehamayi Krishna, the complainant in the alleged MUDA land scam, for failing to appear in a cheque bounce case.
Krishna was unable to attend the court due to a prior obligation to meet with Lokayukta police, who had issued a notice regarding the investigation into the MUDA site allotment case involving Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others, sources indicated.
A source stated, “Krishna missed the court appearance due to a scheduling conflict but is committed to attending soon.”
The Lokayukta police have charged CM Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, and two others in connection with the MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) land allotment case, following directions from a special court based on Krishna’s petition.
The Lokayukta police team has recently surveyed the land tied to the case, where 14 sites were allegedly “illegally” allotted to Siddaramaiah’s wife in Mysuru.
The team, which included the special land acquisition officer, surveyors, and MUDA town planning members, was joined by Krishna during the visit to the 3.16-acre site.
