Charles Sobhraj: The French Serial Killer Has Been Released From Nepal’s Central Jail

Serial killer Charles sobhraj has been released from Nepal’s Central Jail on Friday. Sobhraj was lodged in Nepal’s Central Jail for the last 19 years. As per the order of the Supreme Court of Nepal, he is to be deported from Nepal within 15 Days of his release.

Nepal’s Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the release of serial killer Charles Sobhraj after spending 19 years in prison on the basis of his age. Charles has been in jail in Nepal since 2003 on charges of killing two American tourists.

Charles Sobhraj was serving 21 years in the Central Jail in Kathmandu, which includes 20 years for the murder of the US national and one year for using a fake passport and a fine of 2000. Sobhraj was found guilty of two murders in 1975 by the Kathmandu and Bhaktapur district courts.
