Additional Sessions Judge of Gurugram’s District Court, Abhishek Futela on Friday has convicted Ravi, accused of killing a friend by stoning his head over a dispute of just Rs 40, and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The court said in its order that the punishment has been given on the basis of solid evidence and witnesses, along with a fine of Rs 10,000 has also been imposed. If the convict fails to pay the fine, then he will have to undergo additional imprisonment of one year, the court added
on September 13, 2018, an FIR was registered at Bilaspur police station on charges of murder. The police had received information that a youth named Tarachand, a resident of Rajasthan, had died in Nalhar Medical College. The father of the deceased alleged that Satish, Subhash, Lakhan and Ravi killed Tarachand. When the police investigated, it was found that Ravi had hit his(Tarachand) head with a stone in a dispute over payment of Rs 40 after the meal.
