Jharkhand Bokaro Court: 2 Get 25 Yrs. Of Rigorous Imprisonment Each In Gang-Rape Case

Jharkhand’s Bokaro court on Tuesday sentenced 25 years of rigorous imprisonment of 2 persons for gang rape.

The case was registered at the Chandan Kiyari police station in Bokaro where convicts raped a 35-year-old girl when she was coming from a brick kiln. They also shot her video and made it viral.
The Additional district judge, Yogesh Kumar Singh, held Dulal Kalindi (31) and Dhanu Kevart (25) found guilty under the Section 376 (D) of IPC & sections 66E and 67A of IT Act.

The special public prosecutor Rakesh Kumar Rai told the legally media that “the court found the 2 accused Dulal Kalindi and Dhanur Kewar guilty and therefore sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment of 25 years. Both were convicted for another 5 years under the IT Act. The court also imposed a penalty of ₹10,000 each in the case.
