The hearing on Sheezan Khan’s bail plea in Mumbai’s Vasai court has been adjourned to January 9. Sheejan Khan is an accused in the Tunisha Sharma case. before hearing on bail application Both sisters and mother of Sheejan Khan had reached the court today. Earlier on January 2, Mumbai’s Vasai court has issued a notice to the police.
The court had sought a response from the police by January 7. Sheezan Khan was sent to judicial custody for 14 days by Mumbai’s Vasai court on December 31. Sheezan Khan was produced in the court after the police remand was over.
The police arrested him late at night on 24 December, after which he was produced in the Vasai court on 25 December. Tunisha’s postmortem report has also come to the fore, in which ‘suffocation’ has been described as the cause of death. ACP Chandrakant Jadhav of Mumbai Police told the media on December 25, ‘It is clear from the postmortem report that the death was due to hanging. We have registered a case against Sheejan under IPC section 306 i.e. abetment to suicide.
