Delhi’s Karkardooma Court on Wednesday reserves its order on the plea filed by Umar Khalid seeking interim bail for two weeks to attend his sister’s marriage ceremony.
The Delhi court will pronounce order on December 12.
Ex JNU student Umar Khalid was booked under the anti-terror law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and provisions of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly masterminding the February 2020 riots, which had left 53 people dead and over 700 injured.
Widespread violence had erupted during the protests against CAA and NRC. Khalid, who was arrested by Delhi Police in the riots case in September 2020, was also involved in the JNU sedition row case.
