Will SP Leader Anurag Bhadoria be Surrendered or Police arrest him? SC refuses Early Hearing

The Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant an early hearing on the plea filed by Samajwadi Party spokesman Anurag Bhadouriaagainst Allahabad High Court refusing to quash a FIR filed against him for allegedly making insulting and objectionable remarks about Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Anurag Bhadouria’ advocate today mentioned this case before CJI DY Chandrachud and sought an urgent listing of the matter.

CJI DY Chandrachud refused to grant an early hearing and said, “matter to be listed on the re-opening of court after vacations.

On November 13, an FIR was lodged against Samajwadi Party spokesman Anurag Bhadouria, for allegedly making objectionable remarks during a TV debate against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his mentor, the late Mahant Avaidyanath. The action was taken against Bhadouria after he did not appear before the police, who have been searching for him. Lucknow police have also pasted notices for property attachment at the residence of Bhadouria as well as, at his farmhouse in the Chinhat area of Lucknow.
The case was lodged on the complaint of Bharatiya Janata Party’s state spokesman Hero Bajpai in Thana Hazratganj Lucknow. Bajpai stated that such remarks hurt the sentiments of Hindus and those having faith in Gorakhnath Math.
Lucknow police tweeted, “this case registered in Thana Hazratganj under Section 153A/295A/298/504/505(2) Bhadvi, the action was taken against the named accused Anurag Singh Bhadouria as per the order issued under 82 SPR”.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Lucknow had also issued an order to Hazratganj Police to send a notice of attachment after Bhadouria did not appear before the police, adding that if he didn’t appear soon, “his property will be attached”.
Whereas, the SP leader’s mother-in-law and former MP Sushila Saroj Demanded a ban on police action due to attachment notices pasted at home and added the statement that the police wrongly pasted the property attachment notices on her house in Indira Nagar and a farmhouse as these properties were not owned by Anurag Bhadouria. She said these properties were purchased much before Anurag was married to her daughter in 2006. Anurag visits the house as a son-in-law but has nothing to do with the family’s property.
Further former MP Sushila Saroj said “The remarks made by him were due to a slip of tongue. Whose tongue hadn’t slipped.  Sushila Saroj has also said, “I will tell Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that I also hail from Gorakhpur, and by that way, I am her sister. So, I request Chief Minister to forgive Anurag Bhadouria”.
