Woman Poisoned Lookalike With Cheesecake To Seal Identity Convicted

The US court on Thursday convicted a Russian woman Viktoria Nasyrova (47) who was accused of drugging and killing her American lookalike with a poisoned cheesecake.

The Queens District Attorney’s office (DA) stated that Nasyrova was found guilty of attempted murder and other charges for bringing the poisonous dessert. She visited her lookalike’s home with a gift of a cheesecake in August 2016. Nasyrova’s lookalike had a similar hair color, skin complexion and also spoke Russian.

The woman then ate the dessert and began to feel sick before passing out.

The prosecutors stated that on the following day, a friend discovered the victim unconscious. There the pills were scattered around her that made the scene look like she had tried to kill herself.

According to the DA office Law enforcement when the agents tested the cheesecake, they found that it was laced with Phenazepam which is highly potent sedative.

Viktoria Nasyrova lives in Brooklyn and was also convicted of assault, unlawful imprisonment and theft.

The woman accused is be sentenced on March 21 and faces up to 25 years in prison.
