Allahabad High Court

The Allahabad High Court on February 20 will hear a plea against the pharmaceutical company manufacturing Dolo-650 tablets.

On Friday Advocate Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi had filed a plea in court and stated, “For the last 30 years, the company has not made health insurance mandatory for its employees, and as a result, they have duped them out of nearly Rs 300 crore.”

The petitioner alleged that company is also accused of giving gifts worth Rs 1,000 crore to doctors who prescribed the tablet to feverish patients. The Income Tax Department is also looking into the case, it added.

The petitioner further added that a complaint has been brought in trial court against Micro Labs Limited, the company that makes the Dolo-650, accusing them of engaging in an Employee’s State Insurance (ESI) scam.
