A Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai today will be produced before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court in the Delhi excise policy case.
His application to retract the statements made to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also scheduled to be heard today before the court of special CBI judge MK Nagpal.
Arun Pillai moved an application on Friday seeking to retract statements submitted before the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in the Delhi excise policy case. The application by Pillai was moved before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court.
Previously, The ED arrested Pillai on March 7 in the excise policy money laundering probe.
Officials stated that Pillai represented the “South Group” in meetings with other accused persons when the policy was being formulated & implemented.
Pillai was taken into custody under the criminal sections of the PMLA, following a long session of questioning.
In its remand report, the ED alleged Pillai was a benami of BRS MLC and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam case.
