Aam Aadmi Party National convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday moved the Delhi High Court challenging all nine summons issued to him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case.
The Delhi high court is likely to hear the matter on Wednesday.
Kejriwal has disregarded eight summons in this instance so far, denouncing them as illegal.
A fresh and ninth notice in the excise policy case mandates his appearance before an ED investigating officer on March 21, 2024.
The case stems from allegations regarding irregularities in the Delhi liquor policy, with the ED seeking Kejriwal’s statement on policy formulation and related matters.
The political fallout of the case is significant, with several AAP leaders, including Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, facing legal repercussions.
