Delhi HC Reserves Order on AAP MP’s Plea to Meet Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail

The Delhi High Court on Thursday reserved its order on a plea by AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Kumar Pathak, who is seeking a directive for prison authorities to allow him a physical meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail.

Justice Neena Bansal Krishna reserved the order after hearing arguments from both Pathak’s counsel and the Tihar authorities.

While Pathak was allowed to meet Kejriwal twice in April, the jail authorities have now denied permission, citing that certain statements made by Pathak after the previous meetings violated prison rules and were largely politically motivated.
