The bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma on Wednesday, after noting down the submissions, decided to stay the proceedings going before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court. Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister, filed a defamation case in 2019 against BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, MP Hans Raj Hans, MP Parvesh Verma, MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, MLA Vijender Gupta, and BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana for allegedly making false allegations about his (Manish Sisodia’s) involvement in corruption involving 2000 crore rupees in the construction of classrooms for Delhi government schools.

According to the court, the accused were summoned to court on November 28, 2019.
