Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Monday fixed the hearing for March 25 on the defamation case filed by Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi against Jacqueline Fernandez.
Nora recently filed a defamation lawsuit against fellow Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez and other media outlets in the Patiala House court of New Delhi through her advocates, Vikram Singh Chauhan.
On Saturday, the case was brought before Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Kapil Gupta, however the case was adjourned due to non-availability of concerned magistrate.
Different investigative authorities have questioned Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and others.
The court noted on December 19, 2022, that counsel for the complainant requested more time to file a list of witnesses. The complainant is free to file any necessary documents on or before the next hearing date.
Jacqueline Fernandez’s statement, according to Nora’s complaint, damaged her reputation and was made with malice.
In a criminal defamation case, Nora Fatehi claimed she was wronged by Jacqueline Fernandez’s initial defamatory remarks, which were then repeated and disseminated by the other accused parties (media outlets), all of whom were cooperating with one another, and that Jacqueline Fernandez had planned and carried out the aforementioned actions as part of a conspiracy to ensure the financial, social, and personal ruin of the complainant.
Nora Fatehi stated that the reputation of any individual in the film industry is an asset and any damage on it would result in severe and permanent harm to their career.
