Plea in Delhi HC against Arvind Kejriwal’s Wife for Violating Court’s Video Conferencing Rules

A plea has been filed in the Delhi High Court against CM Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, and others, seeking action for violating the court’s video conferencing rules.

Allegations of Unlawful Recording

The plea claims that Sunita Kejriwal and others unlawfully recorded the proceedings of the trial court when Delhi Chief Minister was presented before the trial court on March 28.

Filed by practicing lawyer Vaibhav Singh, the plea alleges that Mrs. Kejriwal and others not only unlawfully recorded the proceedings but also disseminated them on social media. The post regarding this audio/video recording was circulated on X with the hashtag #MoneyTrailExposedByKejriwal.

“The circumstances surrounding the audio/video recording’s viral dissemination suggest a deep conspiracy by political parties to tarnish the judiciary’s image and mislead the general public of this nation, insinuating that the judiciary operates under governmental influence and central pressure,” the plea stated.

Delhi CM’s Testimony

The Delhi chief minister recounted his story, accompanied by facts, to the special judge, which lasted about 9-9:30 minutes, according to the recording widely circulated on various social media platforms.

“Several members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), along with members of various other opposition parties, intentionally and deliberately recorded the audio and video of the court proceedings and disseminated them on social media platforms with the willful intention to malign and manipulate the court proceedings,” the plea added.
