Rajasthan Judge Files Police Complaint After Receiving Threatening Letters Containing Morphed Images

A Rajasthan judge recently filed a police complaint after receiving letters threatening to leak morphed, ‘obscene’ pictures and ‘spoil’ her reputation if she did not pay twenty lakhs.

According to the report, the photos were taken from her social media account and edited before being delivered to the judge’s Court chamber and her residence last month.

“Be prepared with Rs 20 lakh; otherwise, you and your family will be spoiled. The time and location will be informed soon,” stated the letter that contained such images.

So far, no arrests have been made, though one suspect has been identified using CCTV footage.

According to reports, on February 7, a man handed over a letter to the judge’s stenographer, claiming to be from the school where the judge’s children attended. The letter included morphed images of the judge.

A similar letter was reportedly delivered to the government residence where the judge was staying on February 27.

After this, the judge was prompted to file a police complaint, which was registered on February 28. The judge had also expressed concerned that someone was keeping track of her schedule.

A man in his twenties was identified as handing over a package to be delivered to the judge’s chamber in Jaipur after examining the Court’s CCTV footage.
