Shraddha Murder Case: Saket Court Extends Judicial Custody of Accused Aftab

Delhi’s Saket Court on Tuesday has extended the judicial custody of Aftab Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha murder case, for 14 days. The court has also directed the authorities to provide warm clothes to Aftab. The accused Aftab Poonawalla has demanded some law books for study.

On December 4, the Delhi Police got a big success in the Shraddha murder case. The hair and bone samples sent by the police for DNA mitochondrial profiling have matched. A senior official told Legally Speaking that it has been confirmed that Shraddha Walker was murdered by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawalla.

After strangling Shraddha Walker on May 18, Poonawalla cut her body into 35 pieces and even kept it in a refrigerator for a period of about three weeks at his residence before dumping it across the city for several days.
