Allahabad HC Introduces Online Portal for Hindi Translations of Judgments

Hindi

The Allahabad High Court has introduced an online platform to provide the general public with access to Hindi translations of judgments from the Supreme Court and High Court.

The formal inauguration of this portal occurred on August 25, under the leadership of Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar.

The translated judgments can be accessed via the “अनुवादित निर्णय” (translated judgments) link, conveniently located on the main page of the High Court’s official website.

Through a press release, the High Court clarified that these translated judgments are exclusively intended for personal informational purposes and do not hold any legal or official validity. Starting from March of this year, the High Court began releasing its judgments in Hindi.

Notably, the High Courts of Kerala, Delhi, Bombay, and Himachal Pradesh have also embarked on the practice of publishing judgments in the vernacular languages of their respective states.
