Justice Bidyut Ranjan Singh Sworn in as 15th Chief Justice of Jharkhand HC

Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi was sworn in as the 15th Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court on Friday.
Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office to Justice Sarangi at the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, and several judges and senior government officials attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel read out the warrant of appointment issued by President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
The position of Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court had been vacant following the superannuation of Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra on December 28, 2023. The Union Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification on July 3 regarding Justice Sarangi’s appointment as Chief Justice of the high court.
