The Madhya Pradesh High Court has recently introduced an online Right to Information (RTI) portal so that citizens can file online applications and get the required information within a specific time.
It is worth noting that the Madhya Pradesh High Court is the first High Court in India to start an integrated cloud based online RTI portal with end-to-end paperless mode.
The online RTI portal serves as a gateway for citizens to file online applications and receive the requested information within the prescribed timeframe, as per the rules. It is also linked with the cyber treasury to facilitate all types of online transactions.
According to the press release, the portal’s software holds the staff accountable who are responsible for providing the required information to the applicants in their respective establishments. This software allows the state public information officers and staff involved to monitor every activity from the application filing to its resolution. The e-RTI tab on the official website of the HC provides access to this facility with just a single click.
