In an effort to control the influx of vehicles into the Nilgiris and Kodaikanal, the Madras High Court has instructed the respective district administrations to establish a mechanism for issuing e-passes to vehicles entering the popular hill stations.
The court directed the District Collectors of Nilgiris and Dindigul to devise a system or online form to allow all vehicles intending to visit the Nilgiris and Kodaikanal to provide necessary details and obtain an e-pass. Entry will only be permitted for vehicles with such e-passes.
