The Allahabad High Court sought the original land ownership records in connection with the demolition of Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan in Agra’s Dayalbagh area.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for October 16 and has directed the authorities to maintain status quo on the spot till then. The order was passed by Justice Manish Kumar Nigam on a petition filed by Radha Swami Satsang Sabha, which challenged the demolition proceedings. The state counsel had previously opposed the petition, contending that the construction had encroached upon public land.
On September 24, a clash resulted in several injuries when a team from the revenue department attempted to demolish the disputed building.
