  • Supreme Court to hear pleas challenging controversial state laws passed by Uttar Pradesh and Freedom of Religion Act, 2018 in Uttarakhand that regulates religious conversions due to interfaith marriage. The laws were enacted by the state governments of UP and Uttarakhand for punishing marriages solemnised pursuant to religious conversion.
  • Supreme Court to hear a special leave petition by Hindu Dharma Parishad that wanted the Supreme Court to direct the department to appoint a board of trustees for each temple.

  • Delhi high Court to hear the fresh plea filed by JNU student Sharjeel Imam in the case relating to the alleged inflamatory speeches given by him during anti CAA protests in Feb 2020.
  • Patiala house Court to hear the fresh petition filed by Shankar Mishra, who in an inebriated condition allegedly urinated on the woman co-passenger on board the Air India flight from New York to Delhi on November 26, seeking a regular bail in the case.
