French police conduct raid at Paris 2024 Olympics organizers’ headquarters

The headquarters of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games organizers are being searched by French police.

A spokesperson for the organising committee “Paris 2024 is co-operating fully with the investigators to facilitate their investigations.”

The exact reason for the raids in and around Paris has not been disclosed at this time. French media reports indicate the involvement of financial police, suggesting a probe into suspected corruption.

These raids are believed to be connected to previous preliminary investigations into the process of contract awards.

According to reports, the offices of both Paris 2024 and Solideo, the organization responsible for the construction of Olympic infrastructure, are being searched.
