Imran Khan Arrested, Islamabad Trial Court Sends him Jail

Pakistani Ex Prime Minister Imran Khan Has been Arrested and send to jail on Court order.
The Islamabad trial court on Saturday found PTI Chairman Imran Khan guilty in the Toshakhana case, pronouncing a 3-year jail sentence for the former prime minister. Also, the court imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on the PTI chief.

Imran Khan faced charges since May 10 due to a complaint by the Election Commission of Pakistan, alleging he hid Toshakhana gift details.

During today’s session led by Additional District and Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar, the court established Khan’s guilt in the case.

ADSJ Dilawar declared, “Imran Khan intentionally provided false Toshakhana gift information to the ECP, engaging in corrupt practices,” and sentenced him to 3 years in jail according to Section 174 of the Election Act.

Also, ADSJ Dilawar ordered the Islamabad police chief to ensure the court’s orders are executed. Ahead of the proceedings, police guarded the court, permitting only lawyers inside; neither Imran nor his legal representatives were present.
