Offset Seeks Joint Custody Of Children Amid Divorce Proceedings With Cardi B

Rapper Offset has formally requested the joint legal custody of his three children with estranged wife Cardi B as their high-profile divorce proceedings continue.

According to court documents, the Migos rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, is seeking shared legal custody of their children—Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and their 5-month-old daughter, whose name has not been disclosed. However, he has also specified that Cardi B’s home should remain the children’s primary residence.

In addition to custody, Offset has asked that both he and Cardi B be responsible for their own legal fees, a request that adds another layer to the couple’s already contentious split. The pair, who married in 2017, have been navigating a complex divorce since Cardi B filed for separation in July 2024.

Their breakup has been marked by a series of public disputes. In a now-deleted social media post, Offset appeared to take a jab at Cardi B, sparking a response from the “WAP” rapper, who told him to “sign the papers.” The tension escalated further with accusations and counter-accusations, including Cardi B’s claim that Offset and his mother, Latabia Woodward, had financially wronged her.

Sources close to the situation also allege that Cardi B believes Offset is using their children as a reason to delay finalizing the divorce. The ongoing legal battle has drawn significant public attention, with fans closely watching how the high-profile split unfolds.

As both parties remain locked in the dispute, the court’s decision on custody and financial matters will be crucial in determining the next steps in their separation.
