
India is a global example of female participation in the formation of national laws said Attorney General of India R Venkataramani acknowledging the pivotal role of women in shaping India’s Constitution.
He was speaking on the occasion of International Women’s day at an event organised by Society of Indian Law Firms.
Additional Solicitor General Archana Pathak Dave also outlined the contribution of all the fifteen women of the Constituent Assembly towards making of India’s Constitution.
Dave said that women’s multitasking abilities allow them to fulfill professional responsibilities alongside family duties.
Dr Lalit Bhasin, Senior Advocate and also President of SILF said that women are source of power and divinity and womenhood needs to be celebrated.
He further quoted Swami vivekananda’s word, he said rather focusing on just protecting women the focus should be on respecting them as they are capable enough to protect themselves.
