Land-for-Job Scam Case: Delhi Court Grants Bail To Accused Tejashvi Yadav

In the recent development in Land-for-Job Scam Case, the Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday granted bail to Hema Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.

The court granted bail with the personal bond of ₹50,000 each. Bhola Yadav, Prem Chand Gupta, and other accused also got bail from the court.

Earlier, the Delhi court took cognizance of the CBI’s final chargesheet and issued summons for the accused to appear.

In the earlier chargesheets, the court had already issued summons to Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.

The court noted that there was no need to repeat the process for the final chargesheet.

The final chargesheet names 78 accused.

Background

The Land-for-Job scam case involves the appointment of Group-D employees in the Indian Railways between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Prasad Yadav held the position of Union Railway Minister.

As per CBI jobs were allegedly awarded in return for land transfers.

May 2022: CBI initiated probe into matter naming Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and others as accused.
