KP Dandapani, a senior advocate and former Advocate General of Kerala, died on Tuesday.
From 2011 to 2016, he served as the Advocate General of Kerala.
Dandapani attended the Ernakulam Government Law College before enrolling as an advocate in the late 1960s.
Soon after, he and his wife, Senior Advocate Sumathi Dandapani, who continues to practice before the Kerala High Court, established their own separate law firm.
When Dandapani was promoted to the Gujarat High Court in 1997, he resigned as a judge of the Kerala High Court, where he had been appointed in 1996.
He also served as the standing counsel for a number of organizations, including the National Institute of Technology Kozhikode, the Greater Cochin Development Authority, and the KITEX companies, among others.
