Punjab Police raids hideouts of cow slaughter suspects

In a synchronized operation led by DGP Gaurav Yadav, 132 police teams with 900 personnel raided 185 premises of those booked under the state’s Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act in the past few years across Punjab. The raids aimed to verify the status of individuals involved in cow slaughter cases.

Special DGP Arpit Shukla confirmed that the raids were carried out from 9 am to 4 pm and stated that similar operations would continue in the future.

He affirmed the police force’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding and preserving cattle as per the law. Emphasizing their determination, he declared that no one involved in the killing and slaughtering of cows would be spared.
