6 Men Learn Heist From TV & YouTube, Loot 17.7 Kg Gold From SBI After Loan Rejection

In a shocking turn of events, Karnataka police have cracked the high-profile Nyamati SBI bank robbery case, arresting 6 individuals and recovering 17.7 kg of stolen gold.

The daring heist, which occurred on October 28, 2024, had left authorities baffled for months.

Web Of Deceit

The investigation revealed a complex network of criminals, comprising both locals and individuals with ties to Tamil Nadu. At the helm of the operation was Vijaykumar, a 30-year-old mastermind driven by financial desperation and a deep-seated resentment toward the bank.

Vijaykumar’s motivation for the heist was rooted in a loan rejection by the SBI bank in August 2023. Feeling aggrieved and desperate, he began concocting a plan to rob the bank, drawing inspiration from popular TV shows and movies depicting daring heists.

Calculated Heist

With meticulous precision, Vijaykumar and his gang gathered equipment, including silent hydraulic cutters and gas-cutting tools. They executed the heist with ease, entering the bank through a window and using a gas cutter to break open a locker containing gold ornaments.

A Breakthrough

The recovery of the stolen gold from a well in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai district marked a significant breakthrough in the case. The police identified the suspects through a combination of scientific investigation techniques and coordinated operations across states.

Larger Criminal Network

The investigation also uncovered a notorious group of bank robbers from Kakrala in Uttar Pradesh, known for executing high-profile heists across southern India. The Kakrala gang’s modus operandi bore striking similarities to the Nyamati heist, highlighting the existence of a larger criminal network.

The successful dismantling of the Nyamati and Kakrala gangs is a testament to Karnataka’s law enforcement agencies’ tireless efforts to bring criminals to justice. As the police continue to interrogate the arrested gang members, the people of Karnataka can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that justice has been served.
