Actor Aayush Shah Files Complaints Against OTT Founder Over Bounced Cheques

Actor Aayush Shah and his business partner Mausam Shah, co-founders of Maars Communicates PR agency, have filed multiple complaints in a magistrate court against Akshay Bardapurkar, the founder of the OTT platform Planet Marathi.

The complaints allege that Bardapurkar issued dishonoured cheques amounting to over Rs.1 crore.

The matter is set to be heard in due course. The complaints, filed earlier this month under the Negotiable Instruments Act, involve a total of nine cheques issued by Bardapurkar to Aayush and Mausam.

The cheques, valued at Rs 1,14,30,400, were dishonoured upon presentation.

Of the total amount, Rs 87 lakh was owed to Aayush Shah, while the remaining sum was due to Mausam Shah. The duo also claims that the cheques have accrued monthly interest of Rs 3,61,500 since May 2024.

Aayush Shah has filed three complaints against Bardapurkar and his company, Planet Marathi Seller Services, while Mausam Shah has filed one complaint.

According to their lawyer, Krishnagopal S. Tripathi, the Shah duo is also planning to pursue a civil case against Bardapurkar to seek damages and further accountability.
