Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali
Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, a prominent member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and Imam of Lucknow’s Aishbagh Eidgah, extended warm greetings to the Muslim community on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He urged people to celebrate the festival with unity, peace, and adherence to the advisory issued by the Islamic Centre of India.
In his message, Maulana Khalid Rasheed emphasized the importance of following guidelines during Eid prayers. He appealed to worshippers to offer their Namaz only in designated Eidgahs and mosques, refraining from using public roads or other open spaces to avoid inconvenience to others. He also encouraged devotees to pray for global peace and the well-being of the country, including the people of Palestine and other conflict-stricken regions.
The Shawwal crescent moon was sighted in Lucknow, confirming that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated across India on March 31. As part of the preparations, the state administration has implemented extensive security arrangements to ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration. Measures such as increased patrolling, drone surveillance, and social media monitoring have been put in place to prevent any untoward incidents.
