Six Bangladeshi nationals were detained at Jirania Railway Station for illegally crossing into India. They will be presented in court on Friday, according to the Officer in Charge of the Government Railway Police Station.
The group, comprising 3 men and 3 members of the 3rd gender, was apprehended while attempting to board a train for further travel within India. The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Agartala Government Railway Police, Border Security Force, and Railway Protection Force.
After their detention, the individuals were taken to the Agartala GRP station, where they are currently undergoing extensive questioning.
Authorities believe that there may be additional individuals linked to this incident and anticipate further arrests as the investigation continues. A case has been registered at the Agartala GRP station, and the detainees are set to appear in court on November 8.
The detained individuals have been identified as:
– Ekhlas Mia (24, Third Gender)
– Rubayet Hossain @ Simi (20, Third Gender)
– Zakira @ Mona (22, Bangladeshi tout)
– Zakaraiya (19)
– Tanvir Ahmed (20, Third Gender)

The Agartala GRP is actively pursuing the investigation and expects further developments in the coming days.
This incident follows the earlier detention of two other Bangladeshi nationals on Tuesday afternoon at Agartala Railway Station. Mohammed Jalal Awladar (40) and Ruma Begum (25), along with her 4-year-old daughter Raima, were also caught attempting to enter India illegally.
They are residents of Bagerhat district in Bangladesh and reportedly planned to board a train to travel to other Indian states.
Their detention was made possible through a joint operation based on confidential information, once again involving the GRPS, BSF, and Agartala RPF.
