Fresh i’d Cards For All Enrolled Lawyers: Asks Advocates To Apply

The Bar Council of Delhi (BCD) today has decided that identity cards for all enrolled advocates shall be made afresh.

The decision was taken in a meeting held on April 6. All advocates enrolled under it are required to apply afresh with attested copies of the Aadhaar Card, a copy of the enrolment certificate, and the certificate of practice.

The BCD stated in a circular that “The permanent Identity Card shall be valid for 10 years and provisional identity card shall be valid for two years. One month’s time is being granted to all the advocates to apply afresh, for which no charges shall be taken. Identity Cards shall be issued free of cost to those who apply within one month i.e., from 01.05.2023 to 31.05.2023.”
