BRS Leaders Satyavathi Rathod & Sabitha Reddy Visit K Kavitha in Tihar Jail

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders Satyavathi Rathod and Sabitha Indra Reddy visited Tihar Jail on Tuesday to meet party leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who is currently in judicial custody in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

The Rouse Avenue court has extended Kavitha’s judicial custody until June 21, 2024.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against K Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case, which the Rouse Avenue court will consider on July 6. This marks the third supplementary chargesheet filed by the CBI in this case.

K Kavitha was initially arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March and subsequently by the CBI. In its recent supplementary chargesheet filed in the Delhi Court, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has identified a total Proceeds of Crime (PoC) amounting to Rs 1100 crore, with Rs 292.8 crore of PoC pertinent to this prosecution complaint.

The ED’s chargesheet alleges Kavitha’s involvement in a PoC amounting to Rs 292.8 crore in connection with the excise policy money laundering case.
