In a disturbing incident in Delhi, a teenage girl fell off a one-storey building after being slapped hard by a builder during a heated argument.
The video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows the builder, identified as Monu Saxena, and the 17-year-old girl arguing over the property, both calling it “mera makaan” (my home). The confrontation occurred in Karan Vihar, Kirari Suleman Nagar, Rohini, around 4 pm on Thursday.
During the argument, Saxena threatened to throw the girl off the building. He then slapped her, saying “tera makaan kaise hai” (how is it your home), causing her to fall from the boundary-less top floor onto the road. In the video, Saxena is also heard claiming that even if he was arrested, he would return.
Upon arrival at the scene, police learned that the victim had been taken to MGM hospital. Based on the girl’s statement, a case was registered against Saxena under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Aman Vihar police station.
The police stated that the accused is still at large. “There was a dispute between the two over a property. Multiple teams have been constituted to nab the accused,” a police official said.
