A 37-year-old policeman has been charged with abetting the suicide of his wife in Navi Mumbai township, Maharashtra, officials reported.
The victim, aged 31, married the accused, a resident of Kharghar area in Navi Mumbai and a sub-inspector with the CISF, on November 30, 2014.
The couple has two sons, aged 7 and 3, according to authorities.
The accused allegedly subjected his wife to physical abuse and demanded money from her parents.
