Case Filed After Roof Collapse, Kills 5 At Indore Resort

Madhya Pradesh police have filed a case against 4 people, including a manager and 3 owners, of an under-construction resort in Indore where a roof collapse led to the deaths of 5 individuals on Friday.

The incident occurred in Choral, under Simrol police station.

The victims include contractor Pawan Panchal (35) from Bhaswada, Rajasthan, and laborers Hariom Malvi (22), Ajay Malvi (20), Raja (22), and Gopal Prajapati (60), all from Indore.

The police report states that the resort’s construction was handled negligently, leading to the fatalities. The case has been filed against manager Rahul Ahirwar (32) and owners Vikas Dabkara (36), Anaya Dembla, and Vihana Dembla.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has expressed sorrow over the tragedy and has announced financial aid of Rs 4 lakh for each family of the deceased. This includes Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Voluntary Grant and an additional Rs 2 lakh from the Red Cross.
