A case has been filed against a 17-year-old boy for raping a five-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar Malwa district.
As per officials, the incident occurred on Sunday (12th May) evening in a village within the jurisdiction of Soyat Kala police station.
According to Yashwant Rao Gaekwad, in-charge of the said police station, the girl was playing outside her home when the boy lured her to his house and raped her.
Later that night, after experiencing abdominal pain, the girl informed her family, who filed a police report.
The accused has been absconding since the incident, as informed by the officials. The girl’s medical examination confirmed the crime.
As per the Police, a case has been filed against the minor boy under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
He stated that an investigation was being conducted into the incident.
