Centre Notifies Appointment Of 2 Judicial Officers As Judges Of Delhi HC

The Ministry of Law and Justice has confirmed the appointment of judicial officers Renu Bhatnagar and Rajneesh Kumar Gupta as judges of the Delhi High Court.

According to the official notification, the President of India approved their elevation after consulting with the Chief Justice of India, as per constitutional provisions.

Their appointments were initially recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium, led by the Chief Justice of India, during a meeting on February 5. With the necessary approvals in place, the government has now formalized their elevation.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay of the Delhi High Court recently presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Tejas Dhirenbhai Karia, who took the oath as a judge of the Delhi High Court at an official event held on the court premises.
