The Ministry of Law and Justice has notified the transfers of various Judges of High Courts.
As per the issued notification, Justice Vivek Kumar Singh has been transferred from Allahabad High Court to Madras High Court. Simultaneously, Justice Shekhar B Saraf has been moved from Calcutta High Court to Allahabad High Court, and Justice Bibek Chaudhuri has been transferred from Calcutta High Court to Patna High Court.

Further, Justice M Sudheer Kumar is slated for relocation from Telangana High Court to Madras High Court, while Justice C Sumalatha is being transferred from Telangana to Karnataka High Court.

The Supreme Court collegium, led by Chief Justice of India Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud and comprised of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice B R Gavai, and Justice Surya Kant, proposed these transfers to enhance the administration of justice.

Despite pleas from several judges to reconsider the decisions, the collegium recently recommended the transfers of multiple judges from various High Courts nationwide. Some judges have implored the Collegium to reconsider their relocations, while others have expressed a desire to be shifted to High Courts in neighboring States.
